SpainSIF
June 2009

On 10 June 2009 SpainSIF was founded in Madrid as the Spanish Forum for Socially Responsible Investment (SRI), an integrated platform for financial institutions, asset managers, service providers, not-for-profit organisations and unions, all linked to SRI. This Forum aims to be a meeting and reference point, and to generate and spread knowledge about SRI, as well as raising awareness and promoting change in the investment processes of the investment community, governments, businesses and citizens in general.

Its strategic actions include promoting SRI to generate supply and demand, transmitting a plural and independent view of the various issues affecting the promotion of SRI in Spain, and devising a strategic plan with three year goals and annual reviews.

Creas joins this initiative as a founding partner of the forum along with the following entities: Bancaja, Banco Popular, BBK, BBVA, Caja Burgos, Caja Navarra, CECA, Triodos Bank, Caser, Credit Agricole Asset Management, Fonditel, Gestión de Previsión y Pensiones, Ibercaja Gestión, Pictet, Santander Asset Management, Sararin Alén, Analistas Internacionales de Sostenibilidad, Esade, Instituto de Empresa, Novaster, UNED, Vigeo, AECA, AERI, FETS, Forética, Economistas sin Fronteras, FIARE, Fundación Ecología y Desarrollo, CCOO and UGT.

At Creas we foster partnerships with organisations that share our goal of working for a social purpose.

With this partnership model we generate a wide-reaching value chain that promotes the exchange of knowledge and experience, and allows us to move in areas in which it would be difficult to invest on our own.

We consider our partners as important members of our project, and we build lasting relationships based on mutual trust.
