With a degree in Business Studies, and as a Graduate of one of GE’s Corporate Programme, the Financial Management Programme, María has held posts for GE in a variety of countries: Mexico, the USA, England and Spain. She has been a member of the Board of GE Elfun (GE Volunteers Association) and GE Fund Mexico, as well as Regional Director of the GE Women’s Network in Latin America. She also founded the Ashoka Spain Foundation. Currently Maria is Director of International Operations for Ashoka for Europe.

The Board of Trustees is formed by Francisco Berruete, Luis Berruete and Pedro Javier Armentia, and its functions are managed by the Council.
