
With a degree in Law and Business Science from the Comillas Pontificial University of Madrid, Official Accounts Auditor, with a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management and a PhD in Socially Responsible Investments from the Spanish National University of Distance Education (UNED), Mercedes previously worked as an auditor in Deloitte and Director of finance and resources in companies in the banking and venture capital sector (Banco Espirito Santo and Najeti). She is currently the head of the Spanish Foundation for the Innovation of Craftsmanship and, through Equitas, holds a social consultancy in SCR, microfinance and impact evaluation for the social work of savings banks and other agents in the tertiary sector. She is also a member of Economistas sin fronteras.

The Board of Trustees is formed by Francisco Berruete, Luis Berruete and Pedro Javier Armentia, and its functions are managed by the Council.
The Council works with the aim of adding value to the business projects it sponsors and guaranteeing the success of the investments.
Using their experience and commitment, the members of the Council guide the Creas Foundation towards consolidating its vision: to foster a new model of understanding economic, social and environmental relationships, which changes reality.
